The NEI funds supported the Argonaut Project to provide infrastructural support for the renovation of the Argonaut Building, which had been donated by General Motors.

NEI Program Focus:

Talent - The fund aims to create at least 200 new, permanent jobs within the creative sector and to expand creative industry in Southeast Michigan, which could create even more jobs longer term.

Entrepreneurship – Also, the fund strives to increase educational opportunities in the creative arts and create linkages between graduating students and existing creative firms while encouraging development of new creative ventures.

Cultural Change – Finally, the fund pushes to shift the culture away from automotive/manufacturing sector to creative arts sector.
