The NEI funds supported the Creative Corridor Incentive Fund to develop a dense cluster of knowledge-based businesses and talented people in Detroit’s Creative Corridor that will create a hub and spoke model of creative companies in the city.

NEI Program Focus:

Talent - The Creative Corridor Incentive Fund aims to attract and retain creative businesses to Detroit’s Creative Corridor while developing a vibrant community to attract and retain young skilled workers.

Entrepreneurial – Another focus of the fund is to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in new and existing enterprises through the support of systems that foster innovation, such as a business accelerator networks, minority business support centers, and coordination of capital sources.
